The Sedgey Range is a range of traditional, joiner built Rabbit hutches and runs  built to my own personal specification, based on my own experience of keeping rabbits.  They have the sole comfort and happiness of the rabbit in mind.   You will find that they are:-

• Taller internally than pet shop bought hutches to allow for the rabbit to stand up without banging his head

• Deeper (front/back) so that bunny can happily lie at the back of the hutch out of any adverse weather conditions

• Wider giving more room to hop around

• Removable Litter boards fitted as standard, which prevent bedding from falling out when you open the doors and make cleaning out a whole lot easier

• Heavier than pet shop bought hutches

• Extremely well built, heavy duty, hard wearing and built to last.  The workmanship is second to none. They are an excellent, traditional life-time home

• Large enough to comfortably house up to 2 rabbits if required

• Guinea Pigs can live in an outdoor hutch, but are not as hardy as rabbits and so must either be brought into the house during the winter months, or the hutch must be placed in an outbuilding and filled with lots of hay and straw.

New: We now also include as standard in all hutches, a mesh panel on the interior, side wall of the hutch, from which to hang items such as a hay manger, veggie basket, chews, toys  etc.. to avoid the items and contents i.e. hay, becoming wet through the front mesh door.

Standard hutches are 4' wide x 24" deep (ext. roof measurement) & standard 18" internal hutch height. We do not supply hutches smaller than this as we feel that any hutch smaller than the above specifications, does not provide the rabbit with a good quality of life.

Standard With: Green Mineral Felted & Sloping Roof with Overhang,  5" legs,  18" wide partitioned sleeping compartment with 8mm T&G Boarding to door for extra insulation, Meshed exercise area using heavy-duty  16g 1" x 1" heavy duty welded mesh.   Made from 1.75" framework and external 6mm plywood.  Doors fitted with 2" Brass hinges.  Treated inside and out with harmless, water based preservative in an attractive red cedar finish.

Hutches/Runs are built to order although we usually have 4' standard models available for immediate delivery/collection outside of peak periods.
When built to order, we can advise of estimated waiting time on request, although we aim to build within 10 days wherever possible, and we try to aim for 3-4 days on average.
